AZ State Treasurer Dean Martin at Scottsdale Luxury Home Tour

Another great event with the Scottsdale Luxury Home Tour. On Thursday, September 17 our featured speaker was Arizona State Treasurer, Dean Martin.

Treasurer Martin spoke out the States financial situation and about the $39 billion budget he manages to pay for State services. He also spoke about the real estate market trends that he has seen from the State bank's perspective and his opinion on what lenders can do to start improving the economic climate.

Who knows....maybe we'll see him run for Governor one day.

Anti-Deficiency Statute SB 1271 Repealed by Governor Jan Brewer

According to the Arizona Association of REALTORS legislative newsletter, The Capital Insider, Governor Jan Brewer signed HB 2008, which repeals SB 1271 and its change to the anti-deficiency statute. AAR would like to thank our members for their quick response and action on this matter. AAR's success is due, in part, to members like you who help engage on issues down at the Capitol. AAR will continue to work with legislators and industry stakeholders to protect homeowner rights at the Capitol.
